I'm Doug Durbano

I am running to be your Republican State Representative in District 4

I am a business owner, a constitutional attorney… but most importantly, I am a family man and will work for District 4 in protecting our freedoms, fight taxes, and return to common sense leadership. I have fought and won against the government for individuals and small businesses. I will fight to reduce residential property taxes, government overreach, and regulation that limits growth to local economies. Instead, I am going to advocate for pro-small business policies, and protect the rights and freedoms of Utahns. Together, we can create a stronger, more prosperous future for our communities.

ELECTION INTEGRITY

Prioritize transparency, rigorous audits, secure voting technologies, strict voter ID laws, and repeal SB54 to ensure fair elections and restore trust in democracy.

DEI REASSESSMENT

Shift focus from divisive DEI initiatives to merit-based policies that promote equal treatment and individual achievement for all, benefiting Utah’s future.

COMMUNITY SAFETY

Advocate for the deportation of CHNV parolees sent to Utah under the current administration and push for swift action to protect citizens.

END GOVERNMENT WASTE

Halt funding for non-essential projects like ballparks and hockey stadiums, which drain resources needed for essential services.

TOUGHER JUDICIAL POLICIES

Address soft-on-crime policies by holding offenders accountable, supporting law enforcement, and restoring justice and order in communities.

How Am I Different?

Born and Raised in Northern Utah

I was born and raised in Northern Utah. I have a degree in Business from Weber State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah. I am a business man and have expertise in constitutional law with a 40 year history of winning cases, many against big government. I’m a problem solver and a tough but fair negotiator. I’m a fierce advocate for state’s rights.

Parents Know Best!

As a father and grandfather, I am deeply concerned with the content being taught in our children's schools. It’s time to change the way our education system is run to bring the power back to our parents. Math, English and science belong in our classrooms, not the divisive theories being pushed today. Our parents know what is best for their children, not the government.

There will be regular delegate updates during the legislative session on Doug’s activities as he’s fighting for change, and he will also make his personal email address and cell number available to his constituents. If you have a problem with a federal bureaucracy, call Doug. He will be open about what’s going on and who’s doing it. He will name names, he won’t bow down to political pressure.

I Am A Republican Because...

I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.

I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
